HOW TO BOOK, the steps
The first step is simply getting here. And since you've already done that, thank you. I know how difficult and meaningful the step can be. The next step is to contact me using the ''Contact Wendy' button below. I will get back to you as soon as I can and mostly within 24 hours. If you don't see a reply from me, kindly check your spam folder. Depending on how your pet is feeling, sessions are generally booked to take place within days or a couple weeks of our call. Aside from Emergency Sessions, I will request you fill out an online questionnaire that will help me learn a bit more about your pet, where they're at in terms of health and also help ensure we don't miss any photo ops during your session. Deposits may be requested in some situations. Payments are accepted via e-transfer (direct deposit) or credit card. I respectfully request full payment of the session fee before delivery of images. |
In-StudioIn Studio sessions take place in my small, cottage, studio in the Gorge area. They provide a quiet, safe space for pets who are still able to travel. Being inside means we don't worry about the weather or temperature outside. It's also a good option for pets who can't be off leash or may be reactive to other animals. We can also remove collars, harnesses and leashes safely and your pet won't be distracted by what's going on outside. Though I mainly focus on your pet, select family, friends and/or other pets can be included, however due to the size of my studio, some limitations apply.

A Favourite SpotA Favourite Spot sessions can take place in the comfort of your home, outside in your yard or a place special to you and your pet - the beach, the forest, a park maybe.
Family, friends and other pets can be included; some conditions apply. Session fee includes ten (10) digital photos. A FAVOURITE SPOT SESSION: starting at $275 |
CeremonialCeremonial sessions are available for those who will be having a ceremonial euthanasia as a farewell to their beloved. Maybe friends and family will be there, maybe you've prepared a special spot with flowers and mementos, maybe you have a pet death doula to help guide you while the veterinary team tends to your bestie. These sessions take a more documentary style with the result being a mix of images that can be held in your heart for years to come. Images are available on their own or in a book format, or both.
Session fee includes at least twenty (20) print-ready digital photos. CEREMONIAL SESSION: starting at $350 |
The StorybookThe Storybook sessions take on more of a day-in-the-life look at the life you share with your pet. As they are often longer than the regular In-Studio or A Favourite Spot sessions they are more suited to pets who are not quite feeling their age and/or diagnosis just yet.
The aim is to provide an opportunity to revisit some of your pets favourite things in a style that combines documentary, candid and posed images. Maybe we go for a walk at a special location, maybe we head into my studio with their favourite toys and a big, soft bed, or both. Or perhaps I follow along for a morning or afternoon in your pet's life -- walking the kids to school, snuggling on the sofa, showing off all the tricks, or going for a picnic. Images will be presented in a custom, hardcover printed keepsake photo book. Session fee also includes twenty (20) digital photos suitable for printing. THE STORYBOOK SESSION: starting at $450 |
